The Benefits of Sustainable Financing with Robert Mattler
Bob’s broad entrepreneurial legal and real estate experiences include: establishing and managing a successful law firm, creating and running a commercial property tax consulting business, and Director of Green Brokerage for a boutique real estate firm in Metropolitan Detroit.
Over the last ten years, Bob co-founded the commercial real estate committee, Detroit Chapter of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) where he has been a guiding force in programming, fundraising, strategic development, community outreach, and advisor to various Boards of Directors.
Bob has become an Ambassador of the Detroit 2030 District, helping building owners learn how to measure and manage their energy and water costs, teaching them the value of renewable energy.
Robert’s passion for sustainability, economic development, and adaptive re-use of metro Detroit’s aged building stock places him at the crossroads of Southeast Michigan’s rebirth through the implementation of PACE financing to jump-start community development and re-development.
Bob was an early supporter and advocate of PACE financing when the law first passed in 2011, has published articles, blogs and spoken on the topic in front of various legal, business, and real estate audiences. As Managing Director of Green Portfolio Solutions, Bob can now bring the advantages of PACE financing to help many communities redevelop old building stock and transform their downtowns.
